Summary/Abstract: The contemporary diversity of socio-cultural needs of local communities requires an adequate response to the individual characteristics of their members through join policies to overcome information and educational isolation. The Modern Library is expanding its mission in conformity with the new public paradigm and in unison with the interesus of disadvantaged communities.
