Office of Bureaucratic Administration. Subject – Scope –Research Model

Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to analyze and define the concept of a bureaucratic office as a subject of research. Over the last hundred years, the office has been a subject of lively interest of Polish science, first for the needs of archival science, and finally also for diplomacy and history of administration. The author analyzes the phenomenon of the office in terms of the organization of office activities, the functions of the organization, and as a document service system (the office system). An important point of reference for recognizing this subject of research is the theory of the document life cycle. The summary of the considerations is the outline of the monograph model of the office.
