Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present how Directive 2006/123 of the European Parliament and of the Council on services in the internal market has influenced the regulation of general procedural rules of dealing with entrepreneurs’ matters introduced first in the provisions of the Freedom of Economic Activity Act and now regulated in the Entrepreneurs’ Law. The article focuses on the most controversial implementation of the institution of “tacit settlement of cases” in the doctrine of Polish law, introduced in the provisions of the Services Directive relating to the “authorization schemes” and authorisation procedures. The author also analyzes the possibility of its application in administrative procedures regarding entrepreneurs’ matters which concern business activities subject to state control under Polish law.
