Issues of the publishing movement in scientific writing in the 21st century - the state of research and research approach

Summary/Abstract: Aim. Scientific literature in the field of social communication and media sciences has always focused special attention on the issues of the publishing movement. Bibliology as the oldest part of the above-mentioned discipline has been and is an important subject of research by researchers. One of the sub-disciplines of bibliology is research into the movement and market of publishing. The main aim of the article is to present various ways of researching and perceiving issues of the publishing movement by scientists from various disciplines.Concept. A method of analysis and criticism of the literature was used, analyzing works in the field of publishing issues published in the years 2000-2022. The main directions of reflection on the subject of this article were analyzed. The basic directions of research on publishing issues in scientific literature were traced, broken down into monographs, collective works, chapters in monographs, articles from scientific journals.Results and conclusions. The main directions of reflection on the subject of this publication were analyzed, the basic directions of research on publishing issues in scientific literature were established, and conclusions were formulated regarding the place of publishing issues in the research area of social communication and media sciences.Originality/cognitive value of the approach. The author had presented methods of researching and describing the issues of the publishing movement in the interdisciplinary scientific discourse.
