Summary/Abstract: A brief thematic review of “Chitalishte” journal content. The article examines its relationship to community centres activities in Bulgaria during the National Revival period. An emphasis is placed on the contribution of the editors and authors of articles in contributing new features to history, to the views, interests and the national psychology of our people at that time.
