LAND FORCES OF POLAND IN THE FACE OF CONTEMPORARY THREATS

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of research on the role of the land forces in ensuring the military security of Poland. The current geostrategic situation and especially the threat from the Russian Federation in the cross-border area was taken into account. An assessment was made of the threat posed by Russian asymmetric and hybrid actions and the military capabilities available to the state, which shape the discussion of the target number and equipment of the Polish army, as well as the choice of an appropriate strategy in the face of possible aggression. The final sections of the article focus on the characteristics of the basic equipment of the land forces now and in the coming decades.
