Literary Activity and Scientific Institutions of Panteleimon Kulish Against the Backdrop of the Ukrainian National Revival

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the main stages of the evolution of the creative heritage of Panteleimon Kulish and his views against the backdrop of the literary and scientific movement of the second quarter of the 19th century. On the example of the activities of individual scientific institutions, patriotic circles and organizations, the main tendencies of the transition of the Ukrainian national revival to a higher scientific and organizational level have been characterized. In the context of these processes, Kulish’s work among the Ukrainian intelligentsia is considered. The influence of his activity in the Kiev Archaeographic Commission on the conceptual foundations of his work was characterized, which was reflected in the program documents of the Brotherhood of Saints Cyril and Methodius.
