Summary/Abstract: The article concerns a previously unpublished short story by Ferdinand Hoesick Młoda żona starego męża. Z pamiętników lekarza [The Young Wife of an Old Husband. From the Physician’s Memoirs]. It is one of the author's first attempts at writing, modelled on the novelistic works of Guy de Maupassant. The article introduces the figure of Ferdinand Hoesick (researcher, writer, editor and publisher), presents the results of the autograph research and describes the circumstances in which the work was created.
