Summary/Abstract: In the second half of the 20 th century, naturalism became one of the main points of view embraced by philosophers in multiple fields, from metaphysics to philosophy of mathematics and philosophy of science. In philosophy of science, naturalism was often associated with the endeavor to scientifically explain our capacities for doing science and, at the same time, the epistemic normativity involved in sciences.
