Summary/Abstract: Analyzing globalization in general and its various influences in every sphere of human life, it should be noted that music has been impacted as well. With the fact that, for the most part, the musical tradition has already left its natural environment a long time ago, it should be explored in its modern contexts, that is, new setting and momentum of human life. In this text, our research was focused on the zurla-style music, which undoubtedly occupies a significant place in different contexts in the 21st century. The simultaneous playing of two zurlas and one or two drums is a symbol of zurla-style music, which has retained its characteristic timbre for centuries. Nowadays, a departure from this traditional way of using the zurla and the drum is noticeable and they are used in orchestras with modern instruments and can be heard in numerous recordings of different media but in their non-traditional form. In thispaper we have seen the role of the instruments zurla and drum in the contemporary contexts.
