Lexico-Semantic Group Power in East Germanic and North Germanic Languages: Formation and Development

Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to analysis of the notions of power in East Germanic and North Germanic languages (in the first place we will research Gothic and Old Icelandic languages). Such an analysis is very important for connection ascertainment between two languages. It is intended for researching the formation and development of lexico-semantic group as well as determining the power conception, that had been the basis for nomination. The words in the article are being analyzed from etymological and word-formation points of view. Inner form, furthermore, is essential for this research.
