The review un-derlines the main aspects discussed in the book, pointing out the theoretical ap-proaches used by Lucian Boia in dealing with these topics not only in the reviewed book, but also in his other books related to these topics such as The Weather in the Imagination or Probleme de geografie istorica (Problematics of Historical Geography).
