Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the publication is to present and analyze the events, which leads to the collapse of inter-Allied relations in the end of World War II and the beginning of the Cold War. It examines early signs of the breakdown of unity between the Allies and presents facts that show that each one of the three main countries are trying to implement their plan for the post-war world. The text examines the "decline" of the old great powers and the emergence of USA and USSR as the new major political players, as well as the attempts of both countries to attract others to their side.
