Summary/Abstract: The article discusses some important issues of professional and pedagogical competencies of music teachers in school, summarized in two sections. The first includes the general pedagogical competencies, and the second the professional-musical competencies considered in their synthesis. The competencies are considered in direct connection with the compilation of instrumental accompaniments to the teaching material for folk songs, as an important place is given to the issue of their harmonization.
