Sociological analysis of the problems of lonely mothers in a small region (by the example of Ivanovo region)

Summary/Abstract: The given article contains information about the main problems with which the fami-lies of lonely mothers face in specific conditions of a small region. Such aspects of activity as economic (material) position, legal protection, bringing-up potential of families as well as the attitude of society to the given category of population are examined. In connection with the fact that small regions belong to the problematic urban settlements with low level of in-come, high unemployment, social strain, limited possibilities of people in different spheres, the life-activity of the unprotected groups of population in such conditions is especially diffi-cult.
