Shame and Honor in the Context of Domestic Violence

Summary/Abstract: This article discuss two opposite concepts, honor and shame, from domestic violence perspective. Our analysis is focused on an extreme form of domestic violence: honor killing. This is often met in a majority of societies but is predominant in the traditional patriarchal countries from Asia and the Middle East. More, will define the honor killing concept through gender diferentiations which decisively influences honor and shame association by sex.
