Summary/Abstract: To get a basic understanding of ideology, the author sketches briefly its philosophical underpinning as conceived by its founder. Then he compares ideology to an alternative way of philosophizing by examining Aristotle’s philosophy which will include one of the most important philosophers in the Aristotelian tradition, St. Thomas Aquinas. In conclusion, he determines what pedagogical benefits flow from such a comparison.
