Summary/Abstract: Real estate development activity, dependent on the construction market, is characterized by a long implementation time, delays resulting from climatic seasonality, and a long period for which the invested capital is tied up when traditional construction methods are used. Therefore, more efficient construction methods should be sought. One of them is considered to be modern prefabrication. The article aims to check whether Polish developers operating in the housing market use modern prefabrication to improve the construction process and what the economic benefits of using this technology can be achieved. Using desk research and case-study methods, the author has demonstrated that prefabrication in Polish multi-family housing is not yet popular, but it seems necessary to promote it because of its rather positive impact on real estate development activity in the housing market, which is manifested mainly in shorter project implementation times.
