The Hand- Written School Books of Krastjo Mirsky

Summary/Abstract: The author presents several less known school books \of History, Nature Science, French Language and Literature, Theory of Literature\ from the 1860s and the beginning of the 1870s, saved in the archive of Krastjo Misirkov kept in the Bulgarian Academy of Science. In more details is discussed the school book of Literature translated from French. The thesis about the good quality of teaching this subject in the Bulgarian schools during the Revival is well defended. The author points to the necessity of paying more attention to the school books which as in this specific case could change the notion about the state of affair of the educational culture in Bulgaria during the 19th century. Short fragments from the considered school book are also applied to the paper.
