Some Introductory Words about Rakovsky, Rigas and the Balkan Cultural- Historical Models

Summary/Abstract: The article researches the activities of Georgy Rakovsky and Rigas Velistinlis in comparative aspect. The common places in the autobiographies, views and political activities of two prominent representatives of the Balkan Enlightenment are compared. The comparisons are interpreted as a base for developing of common Balkan models by which a search for the contributions of the leader personality are possible.
