Summary/Abstract: The article highlights the main features of political values as axiological foundations of the functioning of society and the state. It is noted that political values are objects, phenomena, ideas, processes of political life and their properties, which a person treats as satisfying his social needs, interests, which he involves in the sphere of his life. It is indicated that political values are the basis of the formation and implementation of the national development strategy, the ideology of state formation, state policy, adoption of laws and management decisions. Political values are an integral part of the political culture of society and are reflected in the political consciousness of people. It is emphasized that political values are divided into personal, social and state values.
