Summary/Abstract: The author of this paper draws attention to the phenomenon of characteristic forms among the means of communication in the Turkish and Bosnian languages, particularly in religiously, nationally and ideologically heterogeneous communities. Reading this paper leads one to conclude that the linguistic recources used for verifying channel in specific circles were various designated, and further more that they provide highly interesting data both on those who were thus communicatiing and the act of communication itself, thereby serving as socio-linguistically relevant elements. Proffering an analysis of the presence of kinship nouns in Turkish and Bosnian, and a comparison of these two languages with their genetic kindred on the one hand and, on the other, with kanguages of the people who preserved the Islamic culture, and addresing the specific use of these nouns in Turkish and Bosnian, tha author outlines how the distinct lexemes indicating the presence of various entities within consanguinous or marriage relations, as the case may be, within the consciousness of the spoken community indicate close relations in circles such as those marked by thr Islamic culture or those with deep, traditional family links.
