Summary/Abstract: International criminal law as a system of legal regulations contained in the acts of the international community, but also in the national (internal) criminal legislation of individual states provides for criminal responsibility and punishment for a large number of international crimes, among which crimes against humanity stand out. These are acts that violate the laws of war and the customs of war (international humanitarian law) and that violate the peace between nations and the security of humanity. For the perpetrators of these criminal acts, in certain cases, the primary jurisdiction is international judicial (supranational) bodies. The author talks about the concept and characteristics of the crime of crime against humanity from the theoretical and practical aspects in the international and national criminal law of Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
