Summary/Abstract: In this paper we attempt to reposition the genre of alternate history in a network-theoretical context based on the background of our previous research. Based on the models of Albert-László Barabási and his colleagues, the genre-genealogical typology and organization of the corpus can be described as a continuously evolving hierarchical modularity with a scale-free structure, within which the gradually introduced new aspects make the construction of the various worlds more and more layered. And newer works in the genre do the same with the corpus, reinforcing the key points of the network with their choices in each aspect, and further solidifying the positions of iconic works in the alternative canon.
