Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of analyzes devoted to the Russian New Generation Warfare in the light of the first lessons of the war in Ukraine in 2022. On the basis of Russian military thought the author presents the role of asymmetric actions below the threshold of war, as well as Modern Warfare based on military high-technology. An attempt is being made to evaluate the implementation by the Russian Federation of its own military concepts on the basis of experience from a real military operation. The author verifies to what extent the basic elements of the Russian New Generation Warfare have been properly applied against Ukraine, and to what extent the source of failures is incorrect implementation and abandoning own plans including such aspects as information warfare, operations in cyberspace, electronic warfare, long-range precision strikes or robotization of the battlefield.
