Summary/Abstract: The present work addresses one of the doctrinal themes that have marked the Church over the years, namely, the fate of the souls of the sinners, as well as that of the devils at the end of time. We developed a thorough analysis regarding the ultimate destiny of God-created humans who did not prove themselves worthy of salvation eternal life until the Parousia. To begin with, I made a brief presentation of the meaning of the doctrine in question as well as an introduction of the terms and notions that form the very foundation of the apocatastasis doctrine. They represent the essence of its system of theological ideas. The next chapter addresses the matter of apocatastasis during the patristic period, that is, during the period when some of the leading theologians of Christianity were active in the Church. In their thinking, this part is contained in the section of eschatology.
