Summary/Abstract: Since Rainer Maria Rilke, the Christian poet of German expression, paid, throughout his life, an increased attention and piety to the Mother of God, adding the name of the Virgin to his own name, I thought that a thorough textual analysis should be directed to the sublime poems entitled, generically, Das Marien-Leben/ Scenes from the life of Mary.
