Summary/Abstract: One month after general elections, the Croatian parliament on 23 December approved the new conservative government formed by the nationalist Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ). The party, which was founded by late Croatian President Franjo Tudjman, returns to power after nearly four years in opposition.
