Summary/Abstract: The article is largely an interpretation of studies on the taste preferences of Poles. It describes the changes that have occurred in these preferences since the early 1990s, taking as the symbolic beginning of these changes the opening of the first McDonald’s in Poland. This particular culinary journey begins in the United States, moves on to European countries, and ends in Asia. Among the question the article answers is whether and how this culinary opening to the world changed the attitudes of Poles towards native tastes, and how diverse the taste preferences of Polish society are today.
