Reflections on Cybernetics. Romanian contributions

Summary/Abstract: This article presents the important moments in the evolution and development of cybernetics, highlighting how cybernetics uniquely participates in advancing other sciences, building bridges between independent sciences and shaping future. A special place in the emergence of cybernetics was also held by Romanian personalities, who, together with the world's elites, contributed to the construction of the sciences of the future. Thus, through their scientific genius, Ştefan Odobleja, Aurel A. Avramescu, Grigore Moisil, Constantin Bălăceanu Stolnici, Edmond Nicolau or Emil Scarlat have intuited the basic ideas of cybernetics, exposing them in scientific works of great value and significance for the emergence and development of modern cybernetics. From the perspective of cybernetics, a number of major directions in which scientific knowledge develops are highlighted, so that at the end of this paper we have identified some directions of action formulated by cybernetics, which have numerous applications in various other sciences and fields of activity.
