Summary/Abstract: Aggressive behavior in traffic poses a significant threat to road safety and the well-being of individuals. This article examines the psychosocial approach to tackling this issue by addressing the underlying causes of aggressive driving and proposing intervention strategies. The study delves into the theoretical foundations of anger, self-regulation of cognitions, and emotions, emphasizing their role in shaping aggressive behavior. The analysis highlights that stress, frustration, anonymity, and competitiveness contribute to aggressive driving tendencies. The consequences of such behavior encompass dangerous road incidents and negative psychological impacts. The psychosocial intervention strategies encompass psychoeducation, cognitive-behavioral techniques, emotion regulation, and experiential training. These strategies aim to enhance drivers' self-awareness, cognitive restructuring, emotion management, and problem-solving skills. Empirical evidence from studies indicates that these interventions effectively reduce aggressive driving incidents and anger levels among participants.
