THE REGISTERS OF THE PARISH CHURCHES

Summary/Abstract: This paper points out the importance of the registers of the parish churches which are kept in the Historical Archives of Uzice. The same Archive primarily had to protect it from further deterioration, which has a number of books subjected to a process of restoration and conservation, and most of them is microfilmed. These registers of church parishes are an important historical source for the study of Uzice’s past. For this reason, for this type of historical material has gathered great interest by researchers that studied important and interesting historical questions, and produced significant scientific works.
