Summary/Abstract: In this paper we present some basic characteristics of the Guideline of archival collections in Republic of Croatia. Special attention is given to the review of the results of the work on the preparation of the Review, which relate to the final vision of the same, as well as help the search of modern archival materials in Croatia. View done despite certain outstanding issues, brings significant progress archival profession in Croatia. Reviewing achieves higher availability of data, especially via electronic media, the same is increased transparency of archives, and therefore the archival material and their cultural heritage have been made more accessible to users and the public.
