Using the correspondence analysis to examine the impact of wind turbines on the quality of life

Summary/Abstract: In the article the results of seeking the relation between the quality of life of the residents and the presence of wind farms are shown. To study the impact of the wind farms’ presence on the quality of life a correspondence analysis was used, which allows to analyze not only quantitative data but also the ones measured on nominal or ordinal scales, and does not set requirements for the number of statistical units. This method is applied in order to take the knowledge from the data sets through the frequency analysis of the co-occurrence of observed features’ individual variants.
