Summary/Abstract: In the article the problem of invariance of measurement principles has been dis-cussed. As an example the construct of life satisfaction, which was built on the basis of a set of 20 indicators proposed in the study of Social Diagnosis, has been considered. It has been shown through the application of multi-group confirmatory factor analysis that interrelations between the indicators changed by the level of education, and thus the proposed set does not comprise a coherent and invariant framework for measuring latent concept of life satisfac-tion. As a method of overcoming this limitation, the meta-analysis was used to allow the generalization of the results of partial measurement models.
