SOME PHRASEOLOGIES OF THE CONVERSATIONAL STYLE OF THE NORTHERN PART OF MONTENEGRO (STRUCTURAL, SEMANTIC AND STYLISTIC ANALYSIS)

Summary/Abstract: This paper describes a part of the phraseology recorded in the conversational functional style of the northern region of Montenegro. These are phraseological units characterized by exceptional pictoriality and expressiveness and which, with their authenticity, complement many speech situations in such a way that their replacement by another linguistic unit would lead to a partial or complete absence of meaning. Selected examples of phraseology have been described from the semantic, structural, linguisticstylistic and sociolinguistic aspects, and in this way data on specific features of the analyzed phrases has been obtained. This paper aims to provide a complex and comprehensive analysis of selected phraseological expressions that are characteristics of the mentioned language area of Montenegro, and thus indicate their importance in the lexical system of the Montenegrin language.
