A training station using virtual reality to simulate working at heights

Summary/Abstract: The article presents presents the possibilities of using virtual reality technology for safety training, utilized when working at heights, and also describes an original training station developed at Central Institute for Labour Protection – National Research Institute, integrated with an application intended for conducting this type of training, which enables simulations of working at heights at selected work stations, in various weather conditions and taking into account the elements of the selection of protective and work equipment. The application was prepared in the Unity 3D environment based on scenarios developed by the authors of article.
