THE WORK OF STEVAN DUČIĆ IN MODERN CRITICAL INTERPRETATION OF RADOMIR IVANOVIĆ

Summary/Abstract: The author deals with the texts, activities and contribution of academician Radomir V. Ivanović who affirmed the work of the almost unknown inhabitant of the village Kuči - Stevan Dučić. Having presented the life and work of Stevan Dučić, the author follows his reception and affirmation from the beginning to the present day. Special attention is paid to the contribution of Academician Ivanović in the study and affirmation of Dučić's work, from his participation in the creation of Dučić's collected works to the first monograph on that work entitled The Artistic Heritage of Stevan Dučić. Academician Ivanović rightly states that without a fundamental study of the diverse and valuable work of Stevan Dučić, the entire Montenegrin cultural heritage cannot be rounded up, and, as the author highlights, academician Ivanović makes an immeasurable contribution to this study and elucidation of his work.
