Violation and rape in Polish criminal law

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the present thesis is to analyze the issue of an adequate understandingof the concepts of “violation” and “rape”. The authors first focused on theetiology of these studied concepts and their location in the monuments of law that were inforce in the past. A constitutive element of the historical part of the work is an interpretationof indicated terms and determination of the relationship between them. The Polishpenal codes from 1932, 1969, and the current one from 1997 were subsequently analyzed,in which Polish legal thought was continued in the use of both the term “violation” and“rape” in criminal legislation’’.
