Theology of the Mission in Preaching of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate in the Light of the Encyclical Redemptoris missio

Summary/Abstract: The Church constantly responds to the call to evangelization because it is aware of its missionary obligation. John Paul II's encyclical entitled Redemptoris missio. This article attempts to examine the extent to which this papal teaching is taken up in the preaching of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. The author indicates the thematic areas of the encyclical to which the Oblates refer in their preaching, and presents issues that are clearly missing in the published texts of sermons.
