Summary/Abstract: The problem addressed in this article is: what are the doctrinal arguments behind the current decision of the Holy See not to admit men with permanently rooted homosexual orientation to the sacrament of ordination. The three-stage path to solving the problem is as follows: by presenting selected contents of the documents of the Holy See in the 20th and 21st centuries, presenting the doctrinal threads present there and attempting to assess their reception in the light of current challenges. The author refers to documents of the Holy See and statements of popes.
