Summary/Abstract: The scientific article is devoted to the study of the formation and development of the Kyiv City Council as a body of local self-government. The article discloses the issues of legislative regulation of the activities of the Kyiv City Council, the history of its emergence and functioning as a local self-government body. The article identifies the problems of functioning of the Kyiv City Council and provides options for their elimination.
