The missionary paradigm shift in the teaching of Vatican Council II

Summary/Abstract: In the missionary activities of the Church, carried out continuously for over two thousand years, we can find a successive chain of paradigms that initiated new ways of missionary approach to evangelization. This newness each time in the changing socio-cultural world innovated new methods for the missionary activities of the Church, new ways of proclaiming the Gospel to the nations. The right understanding of these paradigms reveals dynamism and creative operability of the Church in its mission activities not only in the geographical dimension but helps us too in understanding the ways the Church faced the challenges of the continuously changing world in its socio-cultural aspects.
