Summary/Abstract: Socialist realism is fully established in criticism and literature in 1948, and the "ideological thaw" begins only in the seventh decade, as Alex Goldiș demonstrates in his study on the relationship between criticism and literature (i.e. critics and writers) in the communist period, "Critica în tranșee". Until the emergence of young voices such as Matei Călinescu, Eugen Simion, Nicolae Manolescu or Valeriu Cristea, the separation of ideology from aesthetics in the discussion of literary creations was unthinkable, and any approach before the 1960s was quickly truncated.
