Summary/Abstract: Competition in the nowadays business climate and economic life represents a key subject for the proper functioning of the market and its possibility to reach its highest potential. This paper aims to tackle the subject of leniency policies in competition law, by analyzing whether these meet the criteria of being both efficient and effective ways of stopping anti-competitive practices in the form of cartels.
