Summary/Abstract: In this article, I will try to consider whether binge‑watching, as a new cultural practice in consuming television content, contributes to changing the media environment, and thus constitutes a marker of television culture or cultures. The framework for the analysis is the hanging practices in popular culture associated with the increasing popularity of streaming services and the expanding power of the consumer. On the one hand, I will look at tantrum viewing as a global phenomenon; on the other, I will take into account regional or local differences. I will try to identify the diverse patterns of this phenomenon.
