On neoseries: What and how to study?

Summary/Abstract: Neoseries, also known as new generation series, are among the most interesting and important phenomena of the contemporary cultural landscape. However, our knowledge of what neoseries actually are and how they should be studied is still unsatisfactory. This article aims to describe the concept of the neoseries and its features, to present some methodological issues concerning the textual analysis and reception of neoseries, to identify neglected research areas, and to indicate some methods that may be useful in the study of these cultural texts.
