Field research in a social rehabilitation facility. Possibilities and limitations

Summary/Abstract: The text aims to describe and analyse institutional field research as a way of collecting information and generating knowledge about social rehabilitation interactions in the institutional dimension. Particularly attention was paid on the characteristics of the ethnographic research carried out so far in social rehabilitation institutions, the specificity of social rehabilitation institutions as an area of field research, the roles that are taken over by field researchers, and the practical premises resulting from the conducted research. In addition, the text specifies typical problems and challenges that field research implementers must face. The summary indicates recommendations relevant to this type of research that would be carried out in social rehabilitation institutions
