Summary/Abstract: Although he is one of the authors whose books I have read with passion since I was a teenager, although from his pages I often took, in times of hardship (which did NOT end with the communist dictatorship), I took, I said, the resources and arguments of a discreet resistance, in myself ("Culture or politics? I don't know. But, if possible, not culture at any price and not politics at any price. Neither to be good nor to rebel is meaningless if you have to get it by losing your soul"; something like that - and many others, me talking about myself...), however, Andrei Pleșu was not my teacher, in the proper sense, of patient and risky mentoring, of the word.
