Summary/Abstract: One of the most prominent figures of interwar Romanian politics on the Hunedorian plains, born in the town of Băcia but also a resident of the city of Deva, Dr. Petru Groza was a controversial politician and lawyer by profession. In order to understand the context of the documents kept in the national archives that are the subject of this material, we must have a clear picture of the actions of Dr. Petru Groza but also of the other politicians who resorted to any means, more or less orthodox, to make known and impose beliefs, interests or desires. One of these tools often used in the interwar period was the press, especially the written one! There were always enough reasons for the political struggle to be sharpened and reflected in local publications and the newspaper Poporul and then the newspaper Horia are the best examples of the political dispute with witnesses, addressed to political proselytes. Regardless of the final results, the material presented attempts to provide sufficient arguments to help us understand the trajectory of Hunedorian interwar political life carried out at the highest levels, with passion and ardour by all political players.
